This Return Policy outlines when and how you may return products purchased directly from Night Vision, along with the conditions that apply when you return our products. The policy mentioned on this page applies to only returns and not refunds, exchanges or warranty repairs. A separate refund policy or warranty policy may be provided on request.
Scope of Return Policy
The policies mentioned on this page apply to purchases made directly from Night Vision or through this website. If you purchase Night Vision products through a third-party platform, the policies of that platform will apply. We are not responsible for returns, replacements, or refunds handled by third-party platforms.
Standard 30-day Return Window
You may return eligible Night Vision products within 30 days of receiving your order. In order to qualify for the return policy, you need to meet the following criteria:
The product must be unused and in its original condition.
- All items must be returned with original packaging, protective films, manuals, cables, screws, antennas, accessories, and inserts.
- The product must not show signs of installation, drilling, mounting, or configuration.
- The serial number must match the original order.
- A valid proof of purchase is required.
If a product does not meet these conditions, Night Vision may reject the return or accept it under special conditions.
Return Conditions
To protect the integrity of our products and ensure safety standards, the following conditions apply:
- Original Condition Requirement: Products must be returned in the same physical condition as delivered. Any scratching, denting, cable damage, or removed protective film may void return eligibility.
- Packaging and Accessories: A return is only valid if all components are included:
- Camera units
- Brackets and mounting hardware
- Power adapters and cables
- Antennas (for Wi-Fi models)
- Manuals and quick-start guides
- Warranty cards (if provided)
- Original box with internal packaging
- Missing items may result in:
- Rejection of the return, or
- Acceptance with a deduction or restocking fee to cover replacement parts.
- Return Window: The 30-day period begins on the day the order is marked “delivered” by the carrier. Return requests made after this period may be declined automatically.
- Return Shipping Responsibility: For standard returns (change of mind, wrong purchase, unwanted item), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Night Vision is not liable for items that are lost or damaged in transit during return or shipping.
Non-Returnable Items
Specific items cannot be returned unless covered under a separate warranty claim:
- Products that have been installed, mounted, or drilled into surfaces
- Items showing signs of physical damage or misuse
- Products returned without serial numbers or with tampered serial stickers
- Items missing key components or accessories
- Software licenses, digital activation codes, or subscription-based features
- Clearance, final-sale, or discontinued items
- Products purchased from unauthorised sellers or grey-market vendors
- Bulk, wholesale, or corporate orders, unless agreed in writing
Return Approval Process
To initiate a return, you must contact Night Vision support. During this process, you must provide us with the following documents:
Order number
- Proof of purchase
- Reason for return
- Photos or videos demonstrating the condition of the product
If the return is approved, you shall receive a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number.
Following this, you should pack the product properly and include the RMA number on the return parcel. Then you should ship the items to the return address provided. Do note that returns sent without an RMA may be delayed, rejected, or returned to the sender.
Inspection Upon Arrival
Once we receive your returned product, our team performs a full inspection to verify the following:
- Product authenticity
- Serial number match
- Condition of the item
- Presence of all included accessories
- Packaging condition
- Signs of installation or usage
Depending on the inspection results, the return may be either accepted, accepted with a restocking fee or rejected and shipped back to you. We reserve full discretion to determine the return outcome.
Restocking Fee
A restocking fee up to 20% may apply in the following circumstances:
- The product is not in perfect original condition
- Packaging is damaged or incomplete.
- Accessories, manuals, or parts are missing.
- The return is accepted outside the standard return window (only under exceptional approval)
Do note that the fee covers repackaging, inspecting, replacement components, and processing.
Return Address
Unless stated otherwise, the return address for products purchased directly from Night Vision will be provided by our support team at the time of return request.
If the product was purchased through a third-party platform, please contact that platform directly for return instructions.
Return Policy Exceptions
Night Vision may allow exceptions, but only on a case-by-case basis. Some of the examples of these exceptions include:
- Shipping errors
- Wrong item received
- Incorrect model sent
- Administrative or system errors
Do note that exceptions are not guaranteed in every case and must be approved in writing before proceeding
Compliance With Australian Law
The return policies mentioned here do not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product fails to meet consumer guarantees. The ACL statutory rights always override company policy wherever applicable.
